Cathie was born in Suffolk, England in 1963. She studied Art & Design at Ipswich School of Art. Specialising in Calligraphy + Heraldry at Reigate School of Art, she graduated in 1985.

Cathie's notable heraldry designs include the coat of arms for HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York. Her love of illustrations is evident in a wide range of acclaimed children's books. She is a well established artist and book illustrator and has been freelance for over 20 years.

Cathie has taught art + design in Surrey, Essex and Cambridgeshire and has exhibited her work in galleries throughout England.

Cathie lives in a village in Northamptonshire with her husband and 2 young children.

Today her specialisms include: Book illustration, Heraldry/Illumination, and children's murals. More recently Cathie has expressed her creativity in the relatively new art form of paper sculpture. These amazing pieces are undoubtedly her most dynamic works of art to date. Her paper sculptures are proving highly popular, both as works of art in their own right as well as being the basis for more interesting and intriguing book illustrations.
