Cathie was born in Suffolk, England in 1963. She studied Art & Design at Ipswich School of Art. Specialising in Calligraphy and Heraldry at Reigate School of Art, she graduated in 1985. Cathie's notable heraldry designs include the coat of arms for HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York. Her love of illustrations is evident in a wide range of children's books. She is a well established artist and book illustrator and has been freelance for over 25 years. Cathie has taught art and design in Surrey, Essex and Cambridgeshire and has exhibited her work in galleries throughout England. Cathie lives in Northamptonshire with her husband and 2 children.
